I love to photograph people. Couples, babies, children, teenagers, families, special occasions or even pets. My passion for photography delivers photographs that you and your family will treasure for many many years to come.
I am very easy going and aim to create a relaxed, informal and fun atmosphere during my photo shoots. After all, people photograph best when they are enjoying themselves and are not under pressure.
There are no time constraints during my shoots. I only schedule one shoot per day to ensure that there is plenty of time for me to get to know you and your family first and to allow me to build that all important rapport between us. This is crucial to allow me to get fantastic, natural photographs. There will also be plenty of time for breaks if necessary. As a parent, I know that this is especially important when children are involved.
Photo shoots can take place anywhere – either in the comfort of your own home or at a location of your choice. Perhaps you would like some family portraits taken at the beach, or in the park, or in your own home or garden. I am also happy to accompany you on an activity that you enjoy. The choice is yours. I can suggest possible locations if you need some ideas. I like to photograph people using natural light, in natural surroundings. However, I can provide a mobile “studio” to create contemporary “high key” or “low key" photographs.
I am completely flexible – if there is a particular type (or types) of photograph that you’re after – talk to me – and I will do my very best to work to your requirements.
You are free to wear whatever you like for the shoot. Primary colours (Red, Green, Blue) look great in photographs! Taking someone’s photograph is about bringing out their personality. So if a particular item of clothing sums you up…. Well anything goes!
Similarly if a particular toy, or musical instrument is part of someone’s personality then by all means, I’ll aim to include it in the photograph.
After the shoot, I will provide you with proofs of the photographs within two weeks. At that point I arrange to come and see you at a mutually convenient time to show you the photographs.
